Awakening comprises both science and art. Brought to the West by George Gurdjieff and codified by Peter Ouspensky, The Fourth Way spiritual system is an ancient science of conscious evolution. It encompasses a personal journey from our habitual mechanical nature to the awakened state of higher centers. Throughout history, this science was often expressed through art and its various forms including painting, sculpture, architecture, music, poetry, prose, and dance.
In this session, we will focus on the possibility and perception of different states of consciousness and how fine art can point us to what is beyond words. Art can illuminate or elicit the ethereal.
