Weekly Exercise: Falsehoods and Illusions
Our Teacher speaks about the Illusion of I. “The many I’s all come through the same speaker which creates the illusion that they are all one.”
We recognize the falsehood that man is unified and is one “I”. We’ve come to understand that we are divided by the 10,000 I’s emanating from every thought, emotion, sensation and desire. When not in Higher Centers, where I does not exist, we are not true Self.
Each week, the posted exercise brings in many I’s. For example, one I may not want to be bothered with the exercise; one I may not agree with content of the exercise; one I may have forgotten the exercise; one I may not see the value of the exercise; one I may not want to be told what to do.
This week, as an I comes in, say to yourself “I am not It.”
"That is the only truth that the Self and the Self alone is" ~Yoga Vasistha
